It's still really hot, but I am not going to complain about running in the heat. It's a lesson in planning ahead and adjusting to the conditions. I'm so happy with my 4 miler race. My only disappointment was the lack of mile markers after the first mile. I found out that it really helps me to know what distance I'm at, when it comes to speed/effort. Good thing I have a very knowledgeable coach that was able make some suggestions about why I may be so sore and how to deal with the soreness. Got up at 5:40am to do some running and stretching. Didn't get as many miles in as I was hoping, but I'm glad I got at least some running in.
